Assistant Manager - Contracts & Commercial

Worked part of the Contracts and Commercial team as the project’s Project Delivery Partner (PDP) for Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT) Sungai Buloh – Kajang (SBK) Line. The workload includes management of all aspects of contractual and commercial side of the project.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Review and assess Contractor’s Payment Application and subsequently prepare their Payment Certificate
• Assessment of Variation Orders
• Assessment of Contractor’s Additional Cost Claims
• Prepare Contractor’s Final Accounts
• Review correspondence related to Contractual matters and draft response
• Call tender / quotation and prepare Works Order /Award to Sub-Contractors

Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Mainly responsible in quantity take-offs and preparation of Bill of Quantities by using Cost X Construction Estimating Software for Malaysian and West Australia based projects. Other responsibilities include assisting senior quantity surveyors with:
• Preparation of bill of quantities
• Cost management and cost planning
• Pre-tender estimating

Cadet Quantity Surveyor

Responsible in assisting seniors with assessment of progress claims, VOs, EOTs and preparing progress reports for financiers. Involved in various construction projects which include high-rise buildings and was also engaged in several civil projects as well.
• Prepare progress reports
• Undertake site visits to assess progress claims
• Contract administration

Undergraduate Intern

Assist seniors in doing quantity take-offs and re-measurement for revised project drawings. Also responsible in assisting with progress claims evaluation. Projects involved includes construction of a primary school, Mydin shopping mall and Petrajaya Hospital.
