Marine Surveyor

Achievements
• Managed a number of projects and entrusted with critical ones like a clean product tanker for E.A. Technique Sdn Bhd and 3 units of IMO II chemical tankers for Boustead Group, and delivered without class related detention within a year after their delivery.
• Being the focal person for all aluminium projects within Peninsular Malaysia and was involved in the early stage of establishment Malaysian Flag requirements for fast offshore crew boat operating in Malaysian waters.
• Being the focal person in Bureau Veritas for West Malaysia for IMO PSPC requirements (Performance Standard of Protective Coating for dedicated sea water ballast tank).
• Responsible for managing another critical project of 32000 cubic-meter trailing hopper suction dredger for Inai Kiara Sdn Bhd.
• Conducting Marine Warranty Survey for marine vessels on behalf of TL Offshore prior to chartering and project commencement.

Key roles
• Managing the surveys for new-building projects in different shipyards.
• Conducting kick-off meeting for all projects to address applicable legal and other requirements.
• Assisting shipyard personnel in development of ITP (Inspection Test Plan) for projects.
• Reviewing ITP from client against contract and requirements.
• Performing inspection and witnessing of testing and commissioning – welding inspection, equipment installation and testing, and systems commissioning.
• Responsible for review of NDT plans and results as per requirements from standards subscribed.
• Working closely with yard’s personnel to successfully achieve project milestones while maintaining the required standards and requirements.
• Leading a small team of surveyors, to cater clients’ needs including review of drawings from all engineering departments on site, review of commissioning protocols and reports, witness of testing and commissioning and verification of any relevant rectification on site.

• Managing raw materials including steel plates and welding consumables in the workshop for the students in the campus.
