The Opportunity

Working within our property team based from our office in Macquarie, ACT you will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing effective Cadastral surveys including redefinition’s, subdivisions, unit/strata titles, land acquisitions, POSI and stratum projects on a wide range of project sizes and complexities within ACT and NSW
  • Opportunity to work on both urban and rural projects
  • Effectively manage the submission of survey documentation to statutory authorities
  • Supervising and/or carrying out of field surveys to required standards
  • Managing drafting processes and carrying out minor drafting as required
  • Mentoring of Candidates for the Board exams would be desirable, but not required
  • Provision of Registered Surveyor advice to projects
  • Providing advice in the delivery of creative solutions that add value to clients
  • Ensuring work is carried out to the client’s requirements
  • Adhering to the Company’s safety processes and procedures

About You

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Registered with the NSW Board of Surveying and Spatial Information (Veris will provide assistance in gaining Dual Registration (NSW/ ACT), if not currently registered in the ACT)
  • Experience working directly with clients and fostering effective working relationships
  • Experience in the development process and an understanding of interpreting development consent conditions relevant to the subdivision process
  • Competent in processing captured data to allow for the calculation and preparation of all forms of survey plans
  • Ability to work autonomously, with the support of other Registered Surveyors within the Veris team
  • Ability to manage priorities to meet various project milestones Ability to use software packages including of Magnet or LisCAD or 12d and AutoCAD
